Upcoming Retirement of Battalion Chief William Leddin

Congratulations to Battalion Chief William Leddin on his upcoming retirement. Bill started with the Orland Fire District 48 years ago as a Cadet. His leadership and unwavering dedication to the Orland Fire District over the past 48 years has contributed significantly to the District being recognized as one of the best.
In addition to being an outstanding Battalion Chief, his work as a founding member of the Honor Guard, as well as the Dive Team, has helped set the Orland Fire District apart as a leading fire department. Additionally, his work as a Fire Inspector, and later, leading the Fire Investigations Team, has clearly benefitted those teams greatly!
Bill's work with the Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) is one example of the many ways he has stepped up to bring the District's safety messages to the community--both in Orland Park and in Orland Hills, and will have a lasting impact on the community.
To a happy and healthy retirement Chief Leddin!
